#BOTD 2022 – Week 43

Monday, October 31st, 2022

Somehow this week is filled with bands from Germany and the UK that sound like they could have come straight out of the 90s/early 00s East Coast punk rock scene. Y’all could put together a ripping show. Also got a fun little EP from a good ol’ Midwestern punk band. Go find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.

If this is your first time here, I’m the worst music reviewer.

Don’t forget to show these bands some love…follow the socials, buy the music/merch, etc.

P.S. Protect trans lives. Say gay everyday. We can’t and won’t be erased. Be a safe space for your local and not so local queers to land. We see you. We are here for you. We love you.

P.P.S. Safe abortion for all. No compromise. No Apology.

Here’s the recap of new (to us) bands we listened to last week (10/24 – 10/30).

xoxo Jaclyn

Week 43

10/24: Chartreux
I listened to the release from 2021, You Didn’t Doubt This. Fast, fun punk. Well done. Favorite Track: Harriet

10/25: WASTED YEARS
I checked out the self-titled 2021 EP. A fun little bop of an EP. What’s next? Favorite Track: Featherweight

10/26: Arterials
I listened to the 2020 full length, The Spaces in Between. It’s got that 90s East Coast punk rock sound. Sometimes fast and ripping. Sometimes a sing-a-long jam. Favorite Track: Bitter Fruit for Broken Homes

10/27: Shitty Neighbors
New music Thursday? I checked out the new EP, Don’t Ever Change. East coast punk from the edge of the Midwest? It’s a fun little EP. Favorite Track: I’m Not Perky…But I Want To Be (or I Seek Justice…Denied!)

10/28: Bear Away
New music Friday! I checked out the new full length A Drastic Tale of Western Living. It’s got late 90s early 00s punk rock vibes. Well done. Favorite Track: Wake Up And Smell The Floor

10/29:
Missed today.

10/30 (part 1): BOTTLEKIDS
New music Sunday? I checked out the new EP, ZILCH!. It’s punk rock. You’ll like it. Well done. Favorite Track: ALREADY DEAD
