My genre descriptions are getting out of control. Have a listen and see if you can put the bands in a better box than I can. Go find something new to listen to on repeat like I am.

Week 50
12/12: Grumpy Plum
I listened to the 2021 EP, Would You Tell Me? and the 2019 EP, Don’t Yell at Me!. Self-proclaimed “slop pop”. I have no idea what that means, but if it sounds like y’all, it’s my new favorite genre. Favorite Track: Fony
12/13: Collars
New music Tuesday? I checked out the new full length, Clyde. It’s a bop. If you can push play and not bop, even a little bit, I don’t trust you. File under: a good time. Dance/Indie/Punk with a bit of Riot? Favorite Track: Rainbows
12/14: AFTERxCLASS
New music Wednesday? I listened to the new EP, Sunshower Daydreams. It’s indie pop? lo-fi bedroom pop vibes. It’s also an example of finding a band right before they are no longer a band. The good news is it sounds like there will be new projects from each member. I’ll be keeping my ears open. Favorite Track: Honey
12/15: Forever Unknown
New music Thursday? I listened to the new release, say it back. It’s a mix of 90s grab your flannel and early 00s pop/punk vibes. Favorite Track: Manic Pixie Dream Girl
12/16: Somewhere South of Here
New music Friday! I listened to the new full length, Leave Me for the Crows. It’s a solid collection of songs. Well done. File under: Punky/emoy/post-something/alt-rock? Favorite Track: Dead Friends
